The roof is part of the house building that has a very important role, namely as a means of protection from heat and blistering sunlight and rainfall. One of the most common problems arising from this element is leakage and always creates discomfort for its residents, especially when the rainy season comes. So that these problems can be avoided, there are several things that must be considered when making the design. Do not only take into account the value of beauty and aesthetics, but also in terms of safety.

1. Construction and horses
The first thing to consider when making a roof design is construction and the horses. Choose a roof that is equipped with a strong lock system. So when there is heavy rain or strong winds, the risk of sagging tiles can be minimized. The next design choice that is also recommended is the cross saddle. Although this roof model still uses gutters, but the gutters have only a small size and can drain rain water quickly downward. This kind of roof model is very appropriate to be used in houses that have an 'L' shape.

4. The size of the tilt angle
With the reason of wanting to create beauty, many forget the size of the tilt angle when making roof designs. Even though the construction is correct, if the tilt angle is wrong, it's easy to leak.
It must always be understood, Indonesia is in the tropics which has two kinds of seasons namely the rainy season and summer. To speed up the process of rainwater falling from the tile towards the bottom, the best slope angle in the roof construction is around 30 to 40 degrees. Don't be less than that so the roof won't leak easily.
