4. Tiled Roof
Generally, tiles are made of clay, both houses in villages and cities often choose tiles as the type of roof for their houses. In addition to its beautiful color, tiles also have the ability to reduce heat and rainwater very well. Your house is guaranteed to be cooler. If you want to renovate your roof at a more affordable cost, you can use asbestos as the roofing material. Asbestos is sold at various prices, depending on their thickness. Each sheet of asbestos is usually 180×105 cm in size with a price of around Rp53 thousand per sheet. Compared to roof tiles, asbestos has a lower ability to absorb heat and water. They also tend to peel more easily, making them more suitable for use as canopy roofing materials rather than for housing.
Cost of Labor and Anti-Leak Coating
To repair a roof, it usually takes about four days for a light steel roof and one week for a wooden roof. With this estimated time, you can estimate the cost of paying for the services of a builder. You can also choose whether it is more economical to pay for a lump sum or pay daily. Let's say the lump sum price per meter is IDR 50 thousand - IDR 60 thousand, then the cost needed to renovate a 6 meter - 9 meter light steel roof is IDR 2.7 million. Meanwhile, for the same size, a wooden roof costs IDR 3.2 million, depending on your agreement with the builder.
Then, for the cost of the anti-leak coating, you can make an estimate by looking for the price in online stores. Usually, anti-leak paint is available in several forms such as paint or spray. The need for anti-leak coating for the roof is usually 1 barrel of 4 kg at a price of IDR 192 thousand to IDR 240 thousand.
